Work With Us

Our Peer Staff are essential contributors to the growth and effectiveness of the TRIO SSS program, both on our campus and within the broader community. By joining our team, they actively participate in expanding the program’s presence and influence, engaging students and community members alike. These dedicated staff members are integral to our operations, working within specialized TRIO SSS Success Teams. These teams focus on a range of critical areas:

Serving as a Peer Mentor, you will have the opportunity to work with students to develop their academic and personal goals. You will provide support and guidance throughout the process, helping them stay on track and overcome any obstacles. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership and interpersonal skills while making a positive impact on the lives of your peers. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and extensive training and support to our student employees.

As a Peer Tutor or TRIO Resource Center Front Desk assistant, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with fellow students. You will work one-on-one or in small groups to help them better understand course material, develop study skills, and prepare for exams. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your own skills while making a positive impact on the academic success of others.

Programming Ambassadors for TRIO SSS will assist in organizing events and community programs, help new scholars during orientations, and work with the team to improve student experiences. The role emphasizes cultural sensitivity, inclusive environment creation, effective multi-platform communication, and active participation in professional development and meetings.

Our Marketing and Social Media Assistants work to support the TRIO SSS program by creating and managing social media content, developing promotional materials, and assisting with marketing campaigns. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and proficiency in various social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in marketing and social media, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines. This is a great opportunity for a student seeking to gain experience in marketing and social media while making a positive impact in the TRIO SSS program.

By engaging in these areas, our Peer Staff not only contribute to the immediate success and development of the TRIO SSS program but also gain valuable experience and skills that benefit their personal and professional growth.

Join the TRIO SSS team today and become a valuable part of our mission to support student success!
