Enrollment reminders
- Meet with an academic advisor. Most problems and questions can be solved or answered by meeting with an advisor.
- Enrollment is a process. Due to the churn of enrollment, with class seats opening and closing, students should enroll in their desired courses when available, and add themselves to waitlists for classes that may be unavailable.
- Explore opportunities. There are many ways to fulfill graduation requirements – talk with an academic advisor about how to complete class schedules while meeting graduating requirements.
- Access to seats in classes is no harder now than it was in the past. The Student Information System gives students greater waitlist abilities, the ability to swap classes, the Planner tool, and the Shopping Cart to pre-plan each semester’s enrollment.
- MSU has moved from once-a-year enrollment to twice-a-year enrollment, which substantially shortens the amount of time between spring enrollment and the start of spring classes.
