Earlier this month, MSU launched the “Uncommon Will, Far Better World” campaign. This $4 billion, multi-year comprehensive fundraising campaign aims to equip Spartans with the resources necessary to address the world’s greatest challenges.
Student success creates a far better world
The route to earning a degree isn’t direct for all students, the roadway marked by bumps, detours, or small jams before reaching that hard-earned destination—graduation and the important work waiting beyond.
Recognizing the varying needs of students—from financial advising, career services, health and wellbeing resources and high-impact learning opportunities—wrap around support helps remove barriers for students seeking MSU’s world-class education. The Office of Undergraduate Education works collaboratively to support student success, ensuring students’ time outside the classroom enhances their experience and enables them to learn, thrive, and graduate.
Over the course of the comprehensive campaign, there will be efforts targeting student success, specifically working toward:
- Sense of belonging activities including high-impact practices like cohort support programs that offer bridge experiences, peer mentors, academic success workshops, tutoring, and college transition programs
- Inclusive living and learning spaces that support and reflect the identities of MSU students
- Merit-based scholarships to bring talented and skilled students to learn and grow at MSU
- Retention funds that offer structures of support—ensuring students can continue their education without financial roadblocks.
- And so much more!
