Spartan Speaks by TEDxMSU is an inclusive platform designed to enable Michigan State University students to explore and strengthen five vital areas of student success. By participating, students can engage in self-discovery of purpose, exploring their core values, personal goals, and academic aspirations. Spartan Speaks further supports educational success by providing a real-world opportunity to apply academic learnings, develop presentation skills and make meaningful contributions.
This experience also cultivates a sense of belonging within the MSU community, fostering a safe and inclusive space where students feel valued and connected. Participants contribute to an empowered community by sharing diverse ideas, building trust, and fostering respect and empathy across perspectives. Finally, Spartan Speaks promotes well-being, creating a balanced, supportive environment that encourages students’ growth across social, mental, and cultural dimensions.
