The Detroit M.A.D.E. program promotes personal and academic excellence that span the four year college journey. Students will engage in specialized programming including individualized advising, workshops, first year seminar, service-learning projects, education abroad or study away, and undergraduate research. It is through these opportunities and initiatives that Detroit Scholars will be involved in conversations and experiences that will prepare them for graduation from MSU and career.

In partnership with the MSU Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement and with various Detroit-based organizations, Detroit M.A.D.E. scholars will engage in a day of service. The day promotes and facilitates action and conversation around topics of civic responsibility, activism and citizenship in strengthening communities.
