National Transfer Student Week takes place Oct. 16-20, 2023! Find information below about activities taking place around campus to celebrate and recognize MSU’s transfer students.
Wednesday, October 11th 5:30pm- 8:00pm Transfer Networking and Resource Night, MSU STEM Teaching & Learning Facility
Prior to National Transfer Student Week (NTSW), the College of Social Science & Transfer Student Success Center (TSSC) will have a Transfer Networking and Resource Night. College of Social Science transfer students will have an opportunity to meet faculty/staff and learn about college graduation requirements, academic policies and procedures, study abroad/away, internships, research, and service learning, community engagement opportunities, academic resources & support, career development and more. Healthy snacks and beverages will be available, and student attendees will be entered into a drawing with a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.
Monday, October 16th – Thursday, October 19th: Scavenger Hunt
The College of Social Science in collaboration with the Transfer Student Success Office (TSSC) is hosting a Social Science Scavenger hunt during National Transfer Student Week. By navigating our clues, transfer students will have the opportunity to engage with College faculty & staff, learn about resources, career development, experiential learning, navigate campus, learn MSU facts, and much more! Students who participate will have the chance to win up to $100 Spartan Cash!
Monday, October 16th 10:00AM- 12:00PM Tabling at the MSU Rock (weather dependent)
Transfer students stop by and meet the Transfer Student Success Center (TSSC) team, our Transfer Student Advisory Board (TSAB), grab a healthy snack, TSSC swag, and will be entered into a drawing with a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

LCC & MSU staff from both Envision Green and the Transfer Student Success Center will facilitate a transfer information session with prospective transfer students. The event will also include a student panel consisting of MSU Transfer Student Advisory Board (TSAB) members sharing their experiences transitioning to MSU, building community, and asserting student agency within their academic program planning.

National Transfer Student Week Ice Cream & Sundae, October 11th to October 20th
Stop by the MSU Dairy Store leading up to, and during, National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) to purchase a scoop of chocolate chip ice cream or an NTSW Sundae.
Daily encouraging emails from MSU Transfer Students and Faculty/Staff Transfer Champions will also be sent to current MSU transfer students during National Transfer Student Week.
