MSU’s educators build the rich academic environment of the university. Faculty and staff play an essential role in creating co-curricular experiences that promote learning beyond the classroom. Intentional learning opportunities, sponsored by an MSU office, staff member, or faculty member, that bear no academic credit, are eligible for inclusion on the Spartan Experience Record (SER) platform.
Co-curricular experiences must have articulated student learning outcomes that are assessed and verified. Adding experiences to the SER platform supports students in building their MSU-verified Spartan Experience Record and expands understanding of co-curricular engagement throughout the university. Categories of experiences include:
- Advocacy
- Community engagement
- Creative
- Intercultural
- Internships
- Involvement
- Leadership
- Research
- Wellness
- Education
Volunteer opportunities, special events, campus jobs, projects, and outreach can be added. If you have co-curricular offering that you haven’t submitted yet, now is the time to get it added to the SER.
