This Fall Semester of 2017, MSU Counseling and Psychiatric Services will be offering classes on Koru Mindfulness Meditation.
The Koru classes utilize research-validated methods that permit participants to learn mindful: meditation, walking, eating, body scans and breathing exercises. During the classes, participants will also learn how to work mindfully with thoughts and emotions. Many prior class participants have found the skills learned in Koru life transforming, permitting them to flourish and be more resilient to life's stressors.
Our Fall 2017 Koru class offerings are as follows:
Fall Session 1-August: 30, September 6, 20 & 27, 2017
Fall Session 2-October: 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2017
Fall Session 3-November: 1, 8, 25 and 29, 2017
Classes will be held in room 309 of Olin Health Center on Wednesday evenings between 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm.
There are no charges for our Koru classes which consists of four 75-minute sessions. Class registration is easy. The student should chose the best session from the list above, and let Deb Duxbury or Ginny Blakely know by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least one week prior to the session starting. We will send an email to the student to confirm them as either being signed up or placed on a waiting list, if the class is full with 14 participants.
