Dr. James Lucas is currently the Assistant Dean of Global Education and Curriculum in the Office of Undergraduate Education in the Provost’s Office. In this capacity he consults with academic and student affairs units on issues related to diversity, intercultural, and global education; curriculum development and assessment; faculty and staff development; and global program development. Dr. Lucas over 15 years of college teaching experience—including courses in environmental problem-solving and sustainability, and he has designed and/or coordinated a diverse range of study abroad programs—including MSU’s innovative first-year experiences.
