Extended Academic Orientation Program
All new international undergraduate students are required to attend the Extended Academic Orientation Program (AOP) which takes place during the fall semester.
Extended AOP is a series of events held during the fall semester that will support your academic success. These events will help you connect with other students, professors, advisors, and different campus resources.
You are required to attend at least three* events as a part of Extended AOP and obtain the signatures of one of your professors/teacher assistants. If you do not attend three events during the fall semester and obtain both of your signatures, a Hold will be placed on your student record. No Extended Orientation = No Enrollment = No Classes = No Legal Immigration.
*Students who did not complete their Spartan Preview by the stated deadline must attend four Extended AOP events.Click here for information regarding how to register for an Extended AOP event.
When you attend an event, you must check in with an AOP staff member. You must also fill out your Spartan Souvenir by writing the name of the event and a short description of what you did at the event. Make sure to get a stamp or signature from the AOP staff member who is checking student into the event.
