MSU’s Center for Service-Learning & Civic Engagement is happy to announce that the 7th annual “Fill the Bus” initiative was a great success. Spartans helped fill over 300 bags of school supplies for school-aged children in and around the Greater-Lansing community.

The donation drop-off event was a fantastic reminder of just how involved the whole MSU community was in “Fill the Bus” 2015. It was incredible to see a wide variety of MSU students, colleges, departments, residence halls, student organizations, fraternities, sororities, and alumni all give proof to the claim – Spartans Will. Serve!

The supplies were delivered to five community partners and one school district which included:  Refugee Development Center, Haven House, Capital Area Mentoring Partnership (Big Brothers, Big Sisters), MSU Family Resource Center, Edgewood Village Network Center, and the Lansing School District.

Thank you Spartans for your continued partnership with MSU’s annual “Fill the Bus” initiative.  Without your generosity this project would not be possible. Thank you also to our 2015 Fill the Bus sponsors: CATA (Capital Area Transit Authority), Dean Transportation, Starbucks, and MSU’s Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education.
